Many of the photos on this website are infrared. Technically, infrared is light that humans cannot see. Humans see all the colors in a rainbow (except some are color-blind), ranging all the way from violet to red. But just beyond red where humans cannot see is infrared, which specially equipped cameras can record into infrared photographs.

Scenes that you would think are ordinary and not even photograph can take on a dramatic look. You may see surreal color or dark skies with snow-white foliage. Contrast may be dramatically increased with clouds really popping, and human skin often looks incredibly smooth. The look of fabric can be very surprising, depending on what dyes are used. Infrared photography is always an adventure to take and process.
